"JUST AS A CANDLE CANNOT BURN WITHOUT FIRE, MEN CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT A SPIRITUAL LIFE."
This quote tells us that every religion in this world, whether you are a Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Christian or any other, a religion is what sets someone's fire to do something or acquire something in life.
This quote also implies that every religion encourages their people to achieve amazing things and goals in life. Therefore, we as the follower can use this as a guide when we are about to do something. Every religion wants their people to gain success. Its just depends on how we imply it in our daily life.
Another example for this, as students, when we are having a hard time focusing on a certain activity, we will be even more focus if we turn to religion. For instance, as a Muslim, I always turn to du'a for a clear mind and to gain peace. By that, it is easier for me to focus back on what i was doing. And I think it is the same for any other religion as well. With religion, we feel even more secure spiritually.
Lastly, our religion guides us on doing positive things in life and discard all the negativity there are in this world. No religion tells their people to steal, murder someone and other negative activities. If we use this as a guide in our everyday life than maybe our lives will be more peaceful, less problematic and easy. Just focus on the positives!
