QUOTE OF THE DAY #32- IT'S HEARTBREAKING

Admin Syiffa here again...

Hey guys, i suddenly wanted to talk about this issue because it has been going around lately, even for children too. It scares me to see how this thing effects our humanity.

I feel like we are all in our own bubble. Yes, i do the same thing and it's a bit egoistic for me to talk about this.. however, i need to admit that we are talking more face to screen than face to face.

We are always on our phones than actually having a proper conversation with each other and it is very heartbreaking to see that. When i was younger, when i went out to eat with family members, everyone would talk to each other and laugh with each other but now all i see are people on their phones not saying anything to each other.

When i was 15, noticed that everyone was being isolated with each other and not making human connections to each other. All they do is scroll on Whatsapp, Telegram and watching Youtube videos instead of just socializing r. What i did back then, i threw away my phone for 2 months.

It was a bitter sweet thing. Some people rather ignore me and be on their phones but some people manage to hold a conversation with me, talking about school things. It felt really natural and fun that way when we just throw our phones away. However, because the fast development of the technology nowadays, people cant help but to be on their phones all the time and that is very sad.

In terms of children, i realized that whenever it was Eid with my family, my little cousins are always on their phone or parent's phone , or even on the IPad to watch Youtube videos instead of having fun like kids should. When i was a kid, every Eid me and my cousins would play fireworks and sparkles outside of our Grandmother's house. It's sad to not see that again.

Human connection is rare nowadays. More and more people want to be alone. Some children do not even prefer to have friends and it is very heartbreaking to see. However, im so grateful for those activities that brings people together, like football matches.

So guys, it is very crucial for us to have human connection, just like what Joe Strangye said.. we are nothing without each other. So please, if you could, take a break away from your phone.. and be happy with the people around you (and polite too).

QUOTE OF THE DAY #31- JOYFULNESS

HELLO AND GOOD EVENING PEOPLE!
ADMIN SYIFFA HERE!
To day i wanted to discuss about how to be joyful in life and why is it so important for us?

So how do we be joyful everyday well...

1) Be grateful that you woke up today
It’s so easy to take our days for granted, because we have so many of them. Yet hundreds of thousands of people did not wake up this morning. We who did are the lucky ones.

2) Start exercising
Researchers found that those who exercise first thing in the morning are more likely to do it regularly than those who schedule exercise later in the day. This is because our daily activities often run late, eating into exercise time.

3) Meditate or pray
While the recommended duration is 20 minutes of meditation daily, even one minute or one breath helps. Find a trigger that helps you meditate or take at least one deep breath. I take a few deep breaths while waiting for my computer to boot up.

4) Make a human connection
I’m as guilty of being addicted to my phone as the next person. When having coffee or lunch with a friend, I now try to leave my phone in my bag instead of putting it on the table where it tempts me visually. Focusing entirely on my friend increases the quality of our time together, and makes us both happier (and more polite too!)

5) Perform a random act of kindness
Drop a note into a busker’s hat, hold the door open for the next person, help someone carry a pram up the stairs, or leave chocolates on a weary colleague’s desk. If you’ve ever done any of this, you know how good it makes you feel!

Picked from: www.joyfuldays.com

Why should we be joyful though? Life will be hard again anyways.. so let's not have our hopes up and be happy all the time...

This is why you should:
  1. Joy makes you feel good
  2. Joy makes you laugh more
  3. Joy is healthy
  4. Joy motivates people
  5. Joy inspires interests
  6. Joy creates connections
  7. Joy is everyone's nature
So readers, without being said...being joyful is very important to us. Being students, we need to be joyful and positive always as it helps us be motivated and emotionally stable when doing things. I hope you all get positive vibes from this post and thank you for spending yo time here with me :)
